 JazzFest isn't just for adults.

JazzFest features the Sanford Children's JazzQuest, a special area just for kids that features jazz and blues educational activities, bounce houses, art projects, face painting, singing and dancing and other fun activities designed especially for elementary through middle school aged children! The Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society is committed to increasing the awareness of jazz and blues music to all age groups, through musical events and education.

Inflatable games are open from 5-9pm on Friday and the arts tent and inflatables are open from 1-9pm on Saturday.

In 2008, JazzQuest featured artist-in-residence Kelly Quamen, a visual arts teacher at Centerville Schools.  She recieved her Bachelor of Science Degree in Painting and Printmaking from South Dakota State University and a Masters of Education Degree in Art Education from the University of Sioux Falls.  Kelly was at the JazzQuest area on Saturday from 2-7pm assisting children as they made "green" art projects out of recycled materials.  Erik Ritter from the de-JUNKed booth was also assisting children with creating a large sculpture made out of found objects.
